puttin in the new springs

any one try Big Mo'

Posted by: buddylee

well had to cut off the lower ball joints , dropped the springs in and set it down.
What it just as high as it was before.

I called coil springs specialties , they said to give it a week for the springs to settle.
it handles great , I took be friend home form the shop.
and when for a late night drive on Hicks Rd

it was fun

take more pics when the springs settlen hope you like them

I noticed last night my headlights beam were not the as high as before.

The Hicks Rd drive is one I did back then with my drivers permit. I know that mountain

it was fun, I've been faster on that road in older ill handling cars , be as far as stay`in the lines as fast as I wanted to go was ez

at this point the car has dropped some , if does or doesn't get the full 1.5 inches lower the way it handles with just new ball joints and 20% stiffer springs
I'm Happy
the front doesn't lift when you go to pass someone

Keep in mind - the 1.5" drop is made from the factory specification.

If your original springs are old and have high mileage, they will have sagged some and will be lower than with NEW direct-replacement coils.

Also, you had the spring rate increased by 20%, which makes the springs 20% harder to compress than new factory-spec coils so the car will not drop down as much as before with the same weight at rest.

First of All Thanks for turning me on to http://www.coilsprings.com

the springs on the car I was told were made for extra Lbs. IE it was way high.
I could put my fist between fender and wheel and not touch .

I don't think its getting any lower , I could have done 25% or 35% on the spring rate not a big deal.
It handles nice .... the night before we did it I was fallowing my friend in his Escort 'Pony' Car , with the TC on 20's he couldn't out handle me I was on his bumper in the corners .
2 Day after putting in the springs , '00 spider couldn't shake me in the turns

Now I gota think what to do with the back?

What tire size you running on those?

If you are talking about changing the rear height - as long as your rear air suspension is intact, it's just a matter of adjusting the height sensor
