screw mother nature meet

ok well hows this sound, since our meet got screwed by the weather, and our rescheduled spring meet is more like summer now. im kinda looking to go play at my local track soon, so i figured id start a thread and see if anyone is interested.
looking at either this sunday or next sunday, i know last minute or no minute. the wife says finacally this sun looks better
figured id add that its byron motor speeday "the playground of power"

Its at least 2 hours for me. Come on fellas! GLD is about 6 hours for me and I was going to make the trip, until it snowed. lol

yeah i live 2 miles from Byron and i was gonna go 2.5 up to GLD, i was still debating on running up that morning cuz it was nice here in the am, come on guys it aint that far

If it was going to take you 2.5 to drive up to GLD, that really is a slow turd bird.

I watched a drag racing event on the Speed Channel last night from the Byron drag strip. From what they showed of the strip on tv last night it would be a fun time. If i can drive 13.5 hours from Oklahoma to the meet in Boscobel then some should be able to drive 2 hours to Byron and chill with Chicken.

it looks like next weekend it is, sorry rich and lurker, sounds like you are geetting a cough.
so for those who attend i was thinking of hitting up a place for food afterwards, theres a pizza joint one way and a bar and grill the other so either would work for me.

it's not as harsh, but no where near as strong as it used to be (which wasn't much to begin with)...i drive through your lot every couple days, but you guys don't have jack that i want

ok its offical the 27th is out ugh......maybe in the next few weeks we can work something out, looks like the next open t&t day is the 11th, mothers day, how many think this could be a option, my mom and wife are flexible so it could be a possibility, and theres a good chance the track might be fairly empty

DAMN IT!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!! i wanna be a weatherman, you can do everything wrong and still have a job!! i was hesitant to call it off cuz i figured this would happen and of course it did, heres a few pics of the track as i drove by, i only saw like 6 cars total there so we could of made a hundred runs with no problem

considering that there are no cars in the staging lanes, i figure everyone else saw the forecast and thats why it was so empty, i did see a firebird and 2 vettes there and a porsche turned in from behind me
so how does mothers day sound???????????????????????????? im in and MWB looks like a possibility. hell, ladys race free on that day so maybe that could be their mothers day present

You'll need to call The Fennimore Hills as Boscobel's Motels are filled.

608-822-3281 I have rooms blocked there. You can check with the Sands (in Boscobel) to see if they have any rooms yet also I do think they are full though. 608-375-4167
