Power Seat Motor

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I know I'll catch something from someone, but I did a search, and I couldn't find it.

My drivers side seat doesn't work anymore, no movement, no heated seat. It's a 97 Base, and I checked all the fuses and electrical connections, but I just can't figure this one out.

Anyone have any ideas?

If it were to be the motor, could a Gen 1 motor work for the Gen 2 seat? Thanks in advance.

I'm not too sure about an answer to your question, but when my seat stopped moving I found a lot of trash in the tracks that was stopping motion completely.

Also I see Bellmore as your location. Is that long island?

Yeah it is.

rick did you get your seat working if not what
year my 97 wasnt working having my tint done found out there is a fuse in the module under the seat had to remove it to see it

I would start by pulling the seat out and cleaning an relubing the tracks. Can you hear the motor making any sounds?

The seat motor doesn't make any sound at all, the only thing that actually works on the seat is the lumbar.
