Dreaded Rear Wheel Noise

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Rapidtransit

Hello All,
I'm new to this forum and have learned a lot and there's a wealth of knowledge here about my '01 LS V8 Sport. I already have done the drivers window requlator and latch assembly which are the typical areas of weakness in this car. Next project are the rear wheel bearings.
My question concerns the installation of these rear wheel bearings.
What is the capacity of the press that is required to accomplish this job.
Has anyone attempted this job with a ball joint press or does this need much greater force? Thanks in advance for the answers,
Albie

I would just take it to a machine shop and have them press it in for you, look around and compare prices it really isn't that much.
