Is the door actuator my problem?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I am thinking I may have a door actuator problem in my driver side front door. If I use the keyless entry or the power unlock, then when I lock the doors (with the keyless or the power switch) everything works fine. When I open the driver door without using either form of power unlock, then the driver door will attempt to lock, then unlock about a second later. All of the other doors are fine and do not unlock.

Does this sound like the actuator? It seems weird that it would be the actuator if it works fine when its unlocked via the power controls.

I assume you mean when the car is not on? If so, does it have an aftermarket alarm?

That is correct, when the car is off. When I take off and the car tries to lock the doors the same thing happens... If I used the key from the outside, then the speed sensitive auto-lock tries to lock, then the door unlocks a second later. If I unlock the car with the keyless entry, then the speed sensitive auto-lock works fine.

No aftermarket alarm.
