(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hey well i finally found rims i liked and at a great price. They are 5X108 with 38offset. You think 38 will rub alot or just rub over bumps and tight turns? The wheel guy told me i should have np's. Also let me know what you think of the look....

I like them.they kinda sorta remind me of a 6 spoke foose wheel.

Posted by: HyeLifeLS

I like em.

Posted by: eastcoastLS

I like'm. I'm anxious to see them on an LS. I hope you are putting them on a black LS.

Posted by: RollinLS

I like them. Should look good on the LS.

Posted by: NYC LS8

Not bad. They'd be nicer without those allen heads running around the wheel.

Posted by: 21stcenturygadgetguy

They look kinda like mine, I got em on http://www.performanceplustire.com/

Posted by: vicls

yeah but with the 38 offset you think it will cause alot of rubbing... or just here and there... over big bumps and tight turns?

Posted by: bklene50

I think mine are 38 offest and I have no problem. Then again I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again.

The wheel is beautiful. I hope you find out that it will work, I'd love to see those on someone's car.

Didnt you start 2 or 3 threads asking about the offset of rims and if they rub? Didnt alot of people give you this answer already?

Posted by: HyeLifeLS

Man just get those wheels, they will look good on an LS. And then maybe you'll stop asking questions about offset... Starting from your first post since july 2007 you have been asking the same god damn question...

Posted by: lseguy

Dude...PLS cease with the same question over and over. If you are THAT scared of the rubbing, stay stock. Period.

Agree 100%

They aren't horrible, but I wouldn't buy them (even without the allen heads)... however, those fake allen heads are just too much. Would be another story if they were 2 or 3-piece wheels...

Something tells me that he wont ever get wheels.

Posted by: NateRW21

ya know... now that I read what everyone said... something tells me you're right.

Half of the "will these 20's fit" or "is this backspacing good" threads I've read in the last several months are started by vicls.

Posted by: chocolat1701

nice i like them but 38 will rub a little.

Posted by: HyeLifeLS

let's just put $100 each and buy these damn wheels for VIC.looool

Posted by: NateRW21

But what if the rub??!?!?!

Posted by: AndrewCoja

You are honestly worried about two millimeters?

You do know that 2.54 centimeters (25.4 millimeters)=1 inch right?

That comes to 0.0787"... Spoken that is... 787 hundredths of an inch

ORRRR approx 5/64ths of an inch

Do you realize how SMALL of a difference that is?!?!? I highly doubt if you didn't experience rubbing before, you won't experience it after your wheel is move out less than a tenth of an inch

This brings me to my last question... if you had "dubs" with a 38mm off-set before... why are you now asking so many questions about wheels with anything from a 35 to 42mm off-set? Shouldn't you have already went through this before... or the wheels that were on it at least a sort of proof?

35-40... doesn't matter, just buy the damn wheels and be done with it!!

I'm not personally fond of the overt chrome look, along the lines of liking the lack of chrome on the later LS's. That rim would look good with a painted silver center and polished lip, or even a black center polished lip. Clearly I'm an outlier after reading this thread but it was asking for opinions afterall, I think lots of chrome is overtly show off-ish and I often question if people do that look for themselves/(their own taste) or for attention getting.

However, having said that, I like the allen bolt look, it's one of the wheels redeeming features.

Posted by: EmpireSix

there is just something about a 6 spoke that I dont like, im not even sure what it is. I much prefer a 5 spoke wheel.

Posted by: vicls

I agree I love 5 spoke since its on my other cars but couldn't find any from my wheel guy. Plus the price im getting these for is awesome, so i cant complain.
