lskoncepts.com sells a double din kit. Or you could go the dremel route.

I was looking at that yesterday. I suppose you'd save some green doing it that way. I don't know if it would look as nice when you're finished though...

I have the dash kit and the double din deck but it looks to be too tall for the kit?? anyone have a pic of one that they modified?
I may be able to just get the unit it in but no cage to hold it in.
HELP

I have the bezel from lskoncepts.com. I couldn't use the mounting sleeve with my kenwood double din, so I drilled new holes in the factory bracket to mount directly to the double din. I think you could do the same with the single din kit. You might have to dremel some material at the top too... Also, a couple of spots of epoxy should adhere the bezel to your head unit, since there won't really be anything supporting the bezel.

The name of the game is slow and steady. You can always remove more material. Putting some material back on is more difficult...

check out he thread for the D3 installs someone did it and used some trim to clean it up it looks ok. i did mine last night cuz my bezel from lskoncepts has not arrived yet and it looks like crap cant wait to get the bezel so it will look alot better

the only thing about the bezel from lskoncepts is that i would have to paint it and not sure of how durable it would be.
and the bezel and paint plus shipping, thats almost $100. for a piece of plastic

LSK sells a Factory Navi dash kit that fits a double din FACTORY kit, not an aftermarket double din kit... you need to dremel it.

...now take your "rolling eyes" smiley back. lol

Posted by: stankinls

well, I am going to attempt to do a lil dremel work and see how it comes out.
I guess I can always get the kit from lskoncepts if it doesnt work out
Ill post pics if it works~

Posted by: MajesticLS

I hope the dremel works out for you it didnt so well for me. I ordered the bezel from LSK on the 11th and still dont have it yet its driving me crazy looking at my nice new D3 with the crappy dremeled up bezel around it

Posted by: uknowmehfo

you can do it cheap if your good with fiberglass and bondo sandpaper and alot of time..... www.mp3car.com for some hints on how to do stuff... few LS on there under "projects"
