the drivetrain is 100% original and not modified in any way. everything is perfect on the car and everything works as it should.the only thing not original is what you see on the outside. otherwise everything is as it came from lincoln.
never any accidents, 100% rust free always garaged.
as you can see in the pics, it has brand new wheels and tires. 18x9.5 rears with 275/35-18's and 18x8.5 fronts with 245/40-18's ,cobra front and rear spindles with brand new bearings all around.
brand new 13 front cobra rotors and cobra calipers, with 11.65" cobra rear rotors and the stock lincoln calipers.the rotors are all cross drilled, slotted and zinc platted.
i lowered the car with the sensor adjustment.
it has grey interior that is extremely clean and nice. i have plenty more pics. Oh and the hood was built by myself.
this car rides and drives perfect you will not be dissapointed.
asking $7200 o.b.o. please email me at bandbracing@sbcglobal.net with any other questions or for more pics. thanks John

Great looking car. Good luck with the sale.

Posted by: jamie97lsc

i love the looks of the car, i think the paint job looks awesome, but your price is insane, i dont care if its been gold plated, its a 93 mark VIII, 7,200 is about double what the car could be worth with low miles and in pristine condition. if you truely expect to sell it on any of these lincoln forums, you might want to reconsider your price drastically. but it is a sweet looking car, but it takes more then paint to fetch that kind of price for a 93.

if i wanted your opinion i would've asked for it. besides it has more then just paint. you think those wheels and tires are feee. what about the cobra hubs , the drilled and slotted rotors, and the cobra brake upgrades. yeah they just give that away at the local parts store. not to mention it is a low mileage car.
hell i see markVIII's sell for half with twice the miles maybe. please theres no need for a rebuttel on your part either. you should've never replied to this thread if you had no intentions on buying anyway.

Posted by: john boschma

and now you can watch it sell on ebay

Easy fellas.

wow last time i checked it was 100% legal to post on any public internet forum whether i intend to buy something or not. i was not putting down the car in anyway, i think its a gorgeous car, but if you think you are gonna get back what you put into a car you are wrong, i put a ton of money into my 98 lsc and lost my shirt on it when i sold it. i wasnt trying to offend you, just making it a point that 7200 for a 93 is very high. i have a friend here in florida with a 93 all bone stock with 43k on it and he advertised it for 4990 and he's been sitting on it for 5 months with no bites, because the price is too high just my opinion, dont get all hell bent over what i said.

it's just not proper ettiquette to go on someone elses thread and tell them they are asking too much.what i ask for my car is my business andony potential buyer. if i don't get a buer for it then so be it. but if someone came on here and looked at the car and thought ,damn thats a nice car and the price seems fair for whats been done to it. then you post your stupid comment, and then what do you think that person might think. use your head.
I don't give a rat arse if you think i'm asking too much, but you need to keep that stuff to yourself. it ruins any potential i may have had on selling the car for a price anywhere near what i want. so for future reference if you don't have anything nice or constructive don't say it.

Posted by: jamie97lsc

ok then. i'll put it this way then so we're all happy, if you think you are going to sell it for that much on this forum, or any lincoln forum, you are wasting your time, put it on ebay ( already did ) or craigslist or autotrader.com but you dont post it on a site full of people who probably already own at least one mark VIII and ask that much. the people who are on these forums know what they are worth, with alot done to them or bone stock, no one here is gonna spend that kind of money. sorry just being brutally honest. but i wont say another word

Posted by: john boschma

Gee ,thanks for your honesty.

Posted by: Dark_Majesty_06

I'll give you a dollar... and this magical talking stick that I have.. Come on.. how can you pass up a magical talking stick? Think about it... Lol.. Nice car... Wish I had that much.. but then agian.. my woman would kill me.. I could most likely use that for food and gas.. and like.. jewlery for her.. lol. Nice car tho..

good luck on the sale... car looks good.....

if you didnt want any constructive criticism this might not have been the best forum..

try the .org site... nobodys allowed to post opinions about anything on there..

that might be better for you since you apparently get bent out of shape over a simple opinion

tell Cal we said HI !!

licnoln owners make me sick, they want all the luxury and performance that a car like this delivers, but they just don't wanna pay for it, the cheapest gruop of people i've ever seen. and i say that, cause i've been a ford licnoln mercury car salesmen for 18 years, now and even the old folks that buy towncars are cheap as hell.

Dude it's not that their cheap, it's just that people these days are trying to get the best deal for their money. Your car looks great but even for a 93 the asking price is a bit high at $7,200 the people on this site know what these cars are worth. You say that Lincoln owners make you sick maybe it's time you to start selling a different brand of car.

Posted by: ground_zero298

Not many people are trying to buy cars on this site. We are here because we have them. didn't frogman let his go for around 7? That was a deal. A 93 for 7200 is a big jump for any normal person. I'm not a big fan of the blue but that is a clean mark and you did a nice job on it. Being a car sales man might be part of the problem with the price. Most trying screwing you before you even get your pants down. Private party value for a 93 with 67k on it is 3750 for excellent condition. Most of us know a good deal when we see one, and if that was a fair price you would see (PM sent) underneath the pictures. Everyone here was just trying to let you know that with that price, it might not sell. On LVC you will get holes poked in anything you post. Thats just how it works around here. Plus you should consider yourself lucky. If I was a moderator I might have pulled your post for the way you came back at jamie. If you don't want comments try a locked post. I hope your actually a nice guy that was just having a bad day. It's nice to get new lincoln owners on the site.

Link to frogies sale, lots of mods to that car.
http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=37535

Not sure what Monster paid but I am sure froggie didn't get close to what he had put into the car, time or money.

john boschma, I dont know how much time you put into that car but I agree with the rest, you are going to have a hard time finding a buyer for that car.
Once you start changing a car from stock you make it harder to sell.
You will never get the time and money you spent on the car out of it.
I never have.
Everyone has different tastes I myself cant stand the paint the wheels or the hood scoop but thats me.

As a salesman, you of all people should know that it takes more than a paint job and flashy wheels etc. to sell an early 90s domestic coupe for significantly more than its market value.

BTW, its LINCOLN - you've been selling them for 18 years, at least spell it correctly.

Now, pick up your teddies and put them back in your stroller, lower your price and sell the darn thing!

this duche bag is crying on all of the lincoln boards about no one buying his car. i knew from the second i told him it was priced to high and he blew a gasket he would be like this. saying he should just send it to the crusher, yes do that, so have your local junk yard crush it, and take a video to show us, what a cry baby. oh all us lincoln people make you sick and we're all cheap, then get the hell off the lincoln boards, and im so glad you told us that you are a salesman, now that explains the baby attitude because no one will buy your car. you must sell alot of cars in person with a cry baby attitude like this.

Posted by: lincoln_lurker

if you are a salesman that means you work on at a dealership, put a sign in it there and then negotiate with some clueless bastard until you get the price you want...after 18 years you should be able to sell yugos for $4500

rule 101 in doing any type of business, if you insult your target audience you are not likely to be doing much business

Jamie How many Marks have you sent to the crusher ? another one bites the dust.

I see he has one offer I wonder how much ? I bet it aint over 3,500

after 600 i stopped keeping track lol.

LMAO! This thread is too funny. In the other forum Black ice and Cal and the gang would have BANNED him already! Joey, What are you waiting for? HAHA!

Posted by: devilchild

he reminds me of the guy a while back... usa-car-boy,.. i think..

all he did was piss everyone off with his pointless ranting..

he used to insult everyones car and post pics of "his" ferraris and lambos..

then one of us from near him said to meet up to prove it .. he houdini'd..

Posted by: john boschma

after the posts i just seen, i wouldn't care if someone did ban me off this childish site.
First off you guys have me all wrong.
regardless of what price i posted on my car, has nothing to do with the kind of person i am.i also realize that you don't get the money back you put in it. but it doesn't hurt to try.it's obvious theres alot of well versed lincoln owners on here. and they do for the most part know the value of a car. just becuase a certian type of vehicle is only selling for a certain price doesn't mean thats all it's worth does it?
if one of you other guys that are on here bashing me so bad becuase of my price had an add for thier car, and i thought the price was way to high. i would just go on to the next thread or maybe i'd even be kind of enough to say something positive about how nice the car is and tell them good luck with the sale.
they'll figure it out on thier own that their price is too high.once they can't get any one to bite on it.they'll eventually lower thier price til in it's the right area for a potential buyer.
I should be able to ask whatever i want for a vehicle without being criticized. doesn't mean i will get what i'm asking. but i can always come down on price . and if i was asking a lower price that everyone felt was fair, then you still get beat up more money off. so it's a no win situation when you're selling a car.
and i apologize for the rant on saying how i hate lincoln owners becuase thier cheap, i was having a bad day, and you can only take so many insults in one day.
i've been a long time lincoln owner and i have owned many over the years, i currently own this mark VIII and a 02 LS.and i love them both.
i'm really an easy going guy that gets along with everyone, i just get rubbed the wrong way when people post negative stuff that i already know and i don't need to be told. i have no time for negative people.
i've been building and drag racing my whole life, i am a long term member of over 50 forums and with thousands of posts and i've never been kicked down on a site like i have on this one.
these members really know how to welcome a guy with open arms.

Posted by: 93' Blue on blue

You started with the bad attitude. Jamie merely made a comment, trying to be helpful. Obviously, the thread went down hill from there on in...

Anyway, water under the bridge.

Lets start over...

Did you end up selling the car?

Oh, and welcome! btw.

Posted by: LORENZOCHICAGOLSC

Ok. so...anyways whats the history on the SVO?

Posted by: john boschma

no i didn't sell the car. and i've decided that with fuel prices the way they are i should probably just go ahead and enjoy the car this summer, since it gets the best mileage of any of my current vehicles.
i have so many cars that come and go i get bored easy and just throw cars up for sale to see what happens. nothing happened with this one.

the 89 runs in the 9's baturally aspirated with a stock. and my 93 runs runs low 10 on pump gas naturally aspirated with a stick the red one is the 93 the black one is my 89 coupe.

Posted by: ford nut

Nice black stang
What are the 60 foot times ?
looks like a blast
How old is the boy he has a ear to ear smile looks like a drag racer in the making.

Posted by: 93' Blue on blue

Very nice Mustangs! Would like to get an old fox body myself someday as a project - im torn between the notch backs and fast backs though! Lol. What engines do you run? They 351Ws? Funny, was just reading this months (well, Mays) MM & FF about a guy's 85 GT - made me want one! - certainly something very appealing about a simple, relatively cheap, N/A car running 10s.

Posted by: john boschma

the coupe runs 9.20 at 143 with a 1.29 60ft. with a 434 ci. windsor
the red car runs 10.17 @133 with a 1.38 60ft. time. with a 347
the kid in the coupe is my 10 year old.

i'm building a true 302 c.i motor right now to go into a 89 hatch that will run high 9's on motor and i'll be spinning it about 8800rpm with a stick and naturally aspirated.

Posted by: 93' Blue on blue

434 c.i.!!! No wonder it hauls ass! Lol.

Posted by: jamie97lsc

well since we got off to a bad start and now i see you are into mustangs maybe you can appreciate my buddies 85 gt. back about 8 years ago when i lived in massachusetts, about 10 of my buddies including myself were all fox body guys, i also owned an 85 red and black gt with the basic bolt ons but my buddy bryan after owning his 85 for about 11 years has gone from a very clean original 85gt to a full on race car only with it. he swore up and down he would never do what he has and now it will never see the street again.
he has a 77 n-code 429 in it now with a full manual valve body c-6 and runs 10.60's with a 150 shot on a stock 8.8 rear. it has come along way and went through some serious changes since his high school days with it!

Posted by: pepperman

to The paint on your Mark VIII is very cool looking and i do like the custom hood you have on it. The more time you spend here you will like the place.

nah, I was just giving you a hard time in "typical Lincoln owner" fashion.
(lol)

saw this thread spiraling out of control.. wanted to jump in and tell you Jamie is good people and since you have an SVO you "had to be good people too".

But I really couldn't "jump in" as I didn't want to spill gasoline onto a red hot turbo manifold....haha

you got some nice rides sir!

And.. the fact that the mark 8 didn't sell.. was probably a blessing.
you put alot of work into that car, "making it your own"...and since you haven't driven it more than 500ish miles, you really OWE it to yourself to get out and "enjoy that car".

Granted it's not a 1/4 beast like some of those cars, but.. it's definately a "drivers car"..hell it only has ONE cupholder!

Wish I still had my SVO... that "retarded little mustang step child".
HAHA

I wont be surprised if he negotiates for that talking stick Dark Majesty offered him.

Ok, with everyone playing nice, should I clean up the thread or leave it as a lesson to be learned?

First, everyone knows LvC doesn't 'lock' threads.
And, we are VERY loose on moderating because this is the United States of America and the admin here believe in free speech.

That said, flaming and personal insults are still not very well tolerated.
Disagreements are however. It's called life.

So if you want me to delete the offending posts, let me know.

Otherwise.....LvC RULES!

And Zero, I wish I got it for that. I'd have a few extra grand to spend on the cage.

Think you have me confused with someone else on the smackdown thing.
People rip on me for not moderating anything, much less too much.

I've never met Craig but I do wish he would crawl out from Cal's crack and spend more time over here. I think Craig thinks Cal is gonna turn over the markviii.org site to him some day for his efforts. At least that is what I think is happening over there. Personally, I think Cal would bury himself with his laptop and the password to the site rather than turn it over to someone else. Just my opinion though.

IMHO, you are one of the best moderators on just about any message board I've ever been to.

You are not afraid to speak your mind, and you dont pander to "sensitive people".

Good luck at fatherhood you are going to love it !
SO.. you were one of the lucky ones that "had one of those fathers".

JR's that run 70 in the 1/8th are faster than my car..haha
love watching the "kids" run faster numbers than my car does.

Keep up the great work!!
