I saw this asked on another forum and nobody had answered, wondering if any body knows the answer to this question. The Mark VIII control arm looks identical to the MN12 T-Birds except for the ball stud mount for the ride height sensor. If you have a coil conversion you obviously don't need the stud and there is about $30 difference in price. Does anybody know if the other dimensions and geometry are correct to be able to run the T-Bird arms on a MKVIII?

Ride height sensor spot on mark viii is the only difference, they will bolt up directly and yes with a coil over mark arms are not neccesary, even tho most argue mark viiis are mn12s

gen 1s are mn12s and gen 2s are concidered fn10s, odd but true doesnt make sense but thru alot of research and head scratchin its what i came up with

2006 ford motorsports catalog also lists the mark viii alone under the FN10 chassis code and the t-bird/cougar together under the MN12 platform. FN=full size north america MN=mid size north america |

I agree that little ball is expensive... But if you are ordering I always order one for a 96 T-Bird
