My cats were going bad so I decided to do my whole exhaust. I bought the highflow cats on ebay for 100 shipped, The muffler was $75 and I had chapo from triple a mufflers here installed them for $300. He did a very clean and excellent job. It took him about 3 hrs for the whole job since he had to fabup a piece for the egr tube. here are the pics.

After the pinstripe removal and polished up.

Triple A's Magnaflow Install.
custom fabed up pipe welded onto exhaust manifold to accommodate the EGR tube.

I got the same catback. Best sound I've ever heard from a Mark VIII. I enjoy every minute of it.

I can't believe it! Another Mark VIII owner from Las Vegas. Cool! Your exhaust looks very clean. I bet it sounds awesome too!

I had AAA do some exhaust work a while back on my Thunderbird Turbo Coupe & I was not happy at all, but then again Chapo didn't do the work, some other kid did. I remember when Chapo was at Las Vegas Street Rods years ago. I learned my lesson, If you go to AAA insist that Chapo do the work himself!!!

I'm still trying to figure out which wal-mart that is???

See msm8tress that is the 2 in 2 out Magnaflow you were suppose to get!! And see it fits... LOL..

If I'm ever up that way & I see your Mark there I'll pop in to say hello if that's OK? I would really like to hear how that exhaust set up sounds in person. As I have said before here, you don't see many Mark VIII's in good condition in Vegas, Yours is one of the few. Take care of her!!! I'm always happy when I see someone who actually knows what the car is. So many people don't have a clue & drive them into the ground.

Are thoes stock manifolds?

Posted by: turborich

I saw that too, I wasn't sure if you could cut the stock cat off & weld on a flange. If those are stock manifolds then I guess that there is room to weld flanges on them. At least they can be unbolted! That is a great way to do it if they are the stockers.
