2000 LS v6 Hydraulic Pump

The part number I have found is 2W4Z8C607AA which shows to be a cooling fan and motor. However, I'm not sure if this is the hydraulic pump I need. In doing my searches on the part sites, I have found another part labeled hydrauic unit, which is more expensive than the cooling fan and motor. Basically my question is, Which part number and part do I need for the hydraulic cooling fan pump? Also, would it be an unwise decision to install a used one if I can find one? Have the new ones been fixed to correct the failures? And can a V8 pump be used on a V6? Prices and part numbers please. Thanks in advance

This is what you need.

The V-8 and V-6 use the same one, the original part has been updated 2 more times, so I would say yes they have resolved the problem.

2W4Z-8C607-AA replaced by 6W4Z-8C607-A List $559.18 Inet $312.27

The pump is part of the fan assembly. See attached photo.

You can buy leak detection dye for like $5-8 at a local parts store, they have it for trans fluid and coolant. Just use a UV light and see where the leak is.

The system uses Mercon 5 for the fluid, which is trans fluid really.

Water Pump
XW4Z-8501-CD List $176.52 LVC $109.53

I have a 2000 LS V8 and I have a leak coming from the high pressure side of the pump. the is a metal bracket that holds it in place that has broken. Is that sold by itself or does it come with the hose. I called you guys today and left you a message also, but what I am wanting to know is how much the bracket cost or how much the hose cost if the bracket comes with the hose. I looked on the web-site, but I couldn't find it. Thank you for your helpl.
