Shot in the dark - 8.8 diff parts

I was wondering what it might cost for the Trak-Loc carrier for the IRS would cost ('94 Mark VIII - I have the ring/pinion) and what shipping might be (Oakville, Ontario, Canada)?
I pm'd you my info to get better quote on shipping if possible, but I think I know shipping will be pricey coming across the border. I just thought I'd check to see if I could save anything getting it from you, as your prices seem really good I also inquired about some nameplates in the pm as well (I don't think shipping will be bad for these.)
Thanks for the help.

It's better to ship via the US post office, when going to Canada. Much cheaper than UPS or FEDEX.

Answer copied from p/m yesterday

Hi Jon

Thank you for the request. The diff is a M-4204-F288 (back ordered at present time) and has a list of $215.00 and your cost of $202.40. Fed ex on that 20 pound box ...ground is 5 days and 30.00....3day would be 99.00. That diff is on back order til may. All prices are us dollars and plus all taxes and duties at your end. US mail would be about the same and have no tracking ability. The "lincoln" and "32V" are still available and the linc one is about $16.00 and the 32V one is $116.00 from an obsolete parts house....they are all obsolete!!

Ah, thanks Max, I was just about to reply to the pm but will here instead.
The shipping is very reasonable, I don't think I can wait till May for it though
Thanks for the help with the questions on the carrier too!
I'll look around up here to see what I can find, I hope I don't have to wait till May to do this. I'll let you know what I find out though.
Thank you again for the great help Max, I can see why you have a great rep for helping people out, fast and informative, nice to see!

Max,
I came across this number F5SZ-4026-AA and wondered if it would work/price? It's supposed to be a Trac Lok from a '99 Cobra.
Thanks again,
J.

Posted by: mrzeee

That is correct....99-2000 cobra with trac-lok and 28 spline....also 96-97 t/bird cougar.

Price, etc?

Will that last number work as well?

Posted by: Icarus

I think I found a M-4204-F288, Max
It should be here tomorrow late afternoon. They said they had 4 of them. I had to pay about $60 more, but I don't want to wait till May to start this, sorry. The gears showed up today too
Thanks again Max for the great help!
