what years/models have the 3.58?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

i have a 2000 v8... apparently past mid year (since i do not have a full size spare)

The 00 LS from first off the production line in 1999 to 6-99 have a 3.58

Other wise the 2003-2006 have 3.58 but those will not fit into a 2000-20002 car.

I bought a rear end out of a 2002 T-Bird with 3.58 and swapped it into my 2002 which came with 3.31 gears.

The tag is easy to read, its under one of the bolts on the diff cover. Just slide under the rear of your car with a flashlight and check it out.

well.. its been sub 20 here for about 3 weeks now with snow storms.... so... that'll be a spring checkaroo.

Its on the bottom bolt on all the ones I've seen, really easy to see.

I am pretty sure all V6 autos have 3.58s, at least my 01 auto has one.

What gear do manual cars have? I wanna say I read somewhere on this site that manual cars don't have overdrive transmission. I figured that manual or automatic you would still have overdrive
