Amp & subs for the Mark.

I have been tossing the idea around for a while but I didn't want a mess of wires & crap + I wanted to keep the factory stereo, CD changer & speakers. I just wanted to add some bass to it. I was almost ready to buy a 10" bazooka amplified tube untill I found this set up.

2 Bazooka 10"s in a box with a built in amp. Circuit city had it on sale for $169 bux. I figured that it would sound OK, but this thing really rocks!

I tapped into each rear speaker & ran the wires into the trunk for the amp. Since it had high & low inputs I just used the high. This box fit perfectly & even had the correct angle to it, so it sits flush against the rear seat. I secured it with screws to the X brace so nobody will be taking it out unless they remove the rear seat! If you have been thinking about doing this also you might want to consider this set-up!

I was trying to think of ways to secure my box.

The darn thing flys around the trunk when I get on it.

I just might try they way you did it. It seems like a good idea to me.

duct tape...

I use velcro. I take the long strips and place a few onto the box. Subs have never slid anywhere but if I need to move them I just lift up.

The x brace will not stop somone my friends 95 t bird had a shaved trunk lock
so they broken in the car riped out the back seat and the x brace and stole his system

Well, they must have really wanted his stuff! I'm sure that it was a high dollar set up. I'm not worried about someone going after a couple of 10's besides my car is always garaged & the 12 gauge is nearby.

The velcro will work, I've used it for several things in the past.

You could also use a couple of 'L' brackets. I just prefer the look of not seeing the brakets.

Yeah, I was wanting the clean look. Don't like seeing all that mess in the trunk.

It just dont look good

it always depends how bad someone else wants it. if they really want it they are gonna get it, garage and gun does help though. and i gotta say i dig the LVC sticker on the 3rd brake light, i might just copy that

Thanks! The stoty behind that was I had 4 of them made up, put 2 on my friends car & ruined 1 of them. So I had 1 left & on the back window it went! I like it there.
