I bought my black on black 96 with 51,000 miles on it years ago for 7,000.

Posted by: kustomizingkid

Depends on how good the condition is, and if it's an LSC with HID's.

I bought my 97 with 65000 for 6500. body and interior perfect! last January!

MY FRIEND BOUGHT A 95 WITH 95000 MILES FOR $4,500.00. HE PUT ABOUT $5,000.00 INTO IT TO MAKE IT LOOK "PERFECT"....SOME TIMES IT PAYS TO PAY UP FRONT!!!

For over $5000 for me it has to be very very special.. low miles is not special enough for me.

i picked up my 96 lsc ( yes it has HID's) with 74k miles and in "as near mint as possible" condition.... for $6000.. and that included shipping it to my door.

they were asking $8900...

so offer them $7000.. but only if its a true lsc and in *MINT* condition

i think its worth it if thats exactly what someone is looking for..

I thought I read in another post that you paid too much for your car. $6K doesn't seem excessive to me at all considering how good of shape it was in.

There seems to be a buyer for everything, just a matter of time.

yeah .. you are right..

i used to think i paid too much.. but the more i see how hard it is to find specific cars in great condition with low miles...the more im glad i bought it

I paid 5900 for my 98 LSC and it does needs some work, but most of it is stuff that I want to do.

Posted by: 93zzzt

not going to tell you how much i just paid for that 97. it's a nice car in nordic blue no less.

Posted by: MatthewDavid

I got my 97' mark with 75,000 miles... for 2,500... it needed quite a bit of work... put about a grand in it so far... without your guy's help though it woulda probably been 3 times that... but I don't know it's probably the best car I have ever owned... it's so coosh... it still needs a little work but at least it rides and drives nice now... just need to get painted and what not... and the rear window trim is all lasagna'd out... sux... but still wouldn't trade it!

Posted by: crownvicjim

i got a 97 lsc black/black and immaculate with 33,800 on it 5 months age for 8000. she wanted 11,500. geeesh. pulled the air ride card.

Posted by: jamie97lsc

i just got my black 93 with 75k one owner for 1500 bucks, although it isnt mint, so what. 10,500 for a 96 no way, maybe 6g's tops mileage doesnt mean squat its all about the age and upkeep with these cars.

Posted by: mespock

I bought 3 Mark VIII all for $8300... Little work on each... except what I did to play with them.

Posted by: shiryu0

i paid 11,000 for mine ..........

back in 2005, w/ 52K miles, pretty much MINT, just a little used driver seat........

i was looking for a midnight grey to pop up, i was looking at 2 when mine showed up, plus with the octastars and the moonroof, i just went for it..........

personally i dont think i payed too much

Posted by: k9t8m

If that is the car I think it is (Chicago Craigslist) I have personally offered $6k for the car and he will not budge on the price. He told me he turned down a $9k offer. I told him he was insane for not taking DOUBLE the book value for it. lol.

I paid only $5k for my 96 LSC last year with 52k mi on it. That was even with a fresh oil change and a full tank of gas.

$2700 for my 96 with 90,000 on it in Sept 2006-the interior is perfect, the paint in nice, and I have spent the past year and a half fixing the little things (great sound, new head unit with a wired 12 disk changer, HID's, 50's, air intake mods, shift kit with the necessary accumulator and Mercon fixes, front springs, tune up, coolent/thermostat change-about $1300 total, so I have about $4000 in it, and I'd drive it anywhere. I have almost 120,000 on it now, and it is a great looking and driving car. I could not imagine paying 2 1/2 times that for another 96, even if it has only 51,000 miles on it. Guy is dreaming.
