Ok so I tried replacing the hole in my door today. I got the handle from ebay, but the bolts I have don't fit. They screw in 1/8 an inch then stop. I have 2 different sizes, every bolt from home depot was like this. Secondly, do I have everything I need? (see pics) And lastly, where does the threaded part actually go in terms of the interior of the door.

Also, I plan on leaving the car at Maaco Monday night. I'm hoping to put this on sometime tomorrow night before that, so even if I don't have what I need I want it on there. What size bolt is it if anyone knows?

Looks like the bag for your bolts is standerd the mark is metric

that bag was for washers, which didnt fit either. I did buy a standard size and metric bolt, same thing,

why dont you use the nuts off your old door handle that would make the most sense to me!!! i dont know the thread pitch but the stock nuts(not bolts) are 11 mm. also the threaded rod shown goes into a yellow plastic clip inside the door, in your picture, you can just barely see a piece of it. let maaco put it in if you are unsure.

fixed it. the guy at pepboys knew exactly what size the bolts were over the phone. 6-1.0 he said. the rod actually went into the clip that (in my pic) had the lock rod. from the outside when i pushed on the rod the door popped open. its all set and at maaco right now. woohoo
