For some reason all these idiotic chevy fans tend to compare my 1999 Cadillac El Dorado to their "little" chevrolets? Just because both companies are connected through GM dosen't mean like Ford and Lincoln, they share everything but badges. Cadillac has always distingusished itself from its repair worn cousins in GM by using its own engines, suspensions and technology (except the escalade lol).
Secondly how can you even begin to compare a Mark 3s exterior looks to an El Dorado. thats like comparing a Pontiac Aztek(Lincoln) to a aston martin(Caddy)?!?!? Secondly just by the numbers Caddy sold according to Autoblog http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/01/b...-january-2008/ double what lincoln just this month. Even in the 1980s, the worst decade in automotive history, cadillacs still carried more presence than its american brother w/ lol chryslers bleeding across the pavement.
Im 19 and have owned my el dorado for 3 years racing daily toping her out at 155 on our own dead mans mile (wilmington) in south west florida. i've takin her off roading at 35 mph sideways gone through 3 sets of tires and 2 sets of brakes and havent had one single engine problem, that means noises, leaks, whines, exhaust problems, nothing. Lincolns simply dont have the engineering behind them. sorry props to the mustang and the 09 f150 best looking in their respective classes.
Oh and on a parding note Ford engineers formed the Cadillac Division, we all have something in common.
