Check Engine Light on a 97 Town Car

just lit up on me..everything still seems to drive fine. Before I take any action..just wanted some input from you guys. I know you guys can be a big help. Thanks for any info in advance!

no symptons at all?????? if it has over or near 100k id check the egr first n clean it out

It could be anything from a loosened or improperly put on gas cap to the MAF sensors. What you may want to do is take your LTC by an Auto Zone, they will check out your LTC's computer (for free). They will at least give you a code to go by. Check it out anyways. Good Luck.

I have the same trouble lately with check engine light. Autozone said it was the oxygen sensors....4 on the 96 ...2 on each exhaust pipe. Just looked them up...about $52 apiece. I will probably change them my self it i can get at them.
Autozone will scann your codes for free and give you an idea what is tripping the check engine light. I put that Tornado gizmo in for a recent $5000 mile trip and got 26-28 mpg on highway at 75 mph. I never thought i would see that on this car.
