What do you guys usually use it for?

And question, does it save on gas?

I use it here and there for fun on the streets.

I use it every pass at the 1/4mile. Its more fun that way and the trans shifts alot firmer in the SST mode and will get a better time/mph.

Doubt anyone could get better gas mileage using it.

what is SST?

Select Shift Transmission.

Same as above. Especially on certain Beltway (DC/MD/VA highway) on-ramps, where I KNOW Im going to want full acceleration power but dont want the uncertainty of those hesitant shifts. Drop it to 2 or 3, wind up the ramp, let her rip, quick upshift and back over to D5 for the rest of the drive.

My point exactly lseguy.

I use it for a little fun around town. The huge gem is when I go up north and drive the car in the mountains. SST is AWESOME in the mountains where the roads are really curvy.
