Hello everyone. I am an ex-owner of a 93 Mark8 (still kicking my own butt for getting rid of it), and will be purchasing an 86 Towncar Sig. edition for $800. The interior is almost pristine (one visor needs replacement). Even the moon roof works. The major exterior blemishes are the trunk does not shut completely, latches, but is still open about an inch, also the driver's side turn signal cover is gone. Anyways, what kind of mods can I do to make this beast faster, and more fuel efficient? I am not looking for a speed machine, nor am I a tree-hugger

. On my Mark, I drilled the airbox, removed intake silencer and snorkel, and such. I'm not interested in the H.O. swap, nor N2O implant. Just something tried and true to get a little more "get up and go". Thank you in advance for your help.

the trunk is power the rest of the way down. odds are it is the switch you can apply power to the motor yourself and lower it until you fix it
