My traction assist warning lamp has been coming on for a while, and with winter coming on here in Michigan, I think it's time to do something about it! All that has been done so far is replacing the right rear sensor. This was covered with grease from a leaking rear end seal which was replaced also. The garage and I were both hoping this would affect a cure, but no such luck! They tried to "read out" the computer, but it wasn't possible with the tool they had available. They recomended I go to the Lincoln dealer for analysis, which I never did because I'm scared to death of dealers from past experience. Can you guys help me debug it myself before I end up stuck or in the ditch?

I think you can take it to an AutoZone or any parts store like that and can have the codes read. Other than that, I really have no idea what could be wrong. It maybe just a code that the computer needs to have cleared, but you never know. Try that and see what comes from it.
