multiple problems with 91 Town Car

My mother has kept nagging at me to get her 91 town car running for a couple years now. First the air bags went flat and wouldn't pump up. I ended up removing them and installing a metal spring conversion kit. Second, shortly after doing that the rear end went out and chewed up the ring and pinion gears. Found a used axle from a Crown Vic and installed it.
Now the car won't turn over. If I jump the selonoid with the key in the "run" position it'll start and run good. The selonoid won't "click" when just trying to start the car with the key. The selonoid is mounted on the fender next to the battery. The car did this a few times last year but went away. Now it won't start at all on it's own.
Also, the corner parking lights keep flashing along with the dash lights. There is also a small red light on the dash left of the steering column in the middle of the long horizontally running trim peice that keeps flashing but not in time with the parking and dash light flashing. The little red light has flashed the whole 2 years she's owned the car. There's nothing next to the light to say what it's for and the owners manual doesn't show or mention it at all.
Any help in getting this, eh hem "LEMON", running would be greatly apreciated, thanks Lloyd

First, the red light flashing is telling you that your auto lamps are on. When that is set, the headlights will stay on for a certain period of time after leaving the car and then shut off and will go on automatically once you start your car if it's dark enough outside. As far as the lights flashing, Make sure the emergency flasher button isn't engaged.

Replace the solenoid. It's easy and inexpensive. Just don't cross up the wires when you replace it.

Good luck and happy holidays.

I don't think the autolamp warning light came in until '94

the flashing light may be an aftermarket add on alarm system trying to tell you something. You didn't say if she was the original owner or not. But, yeah get a new solenoid.
