DTE Problems

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: DJhollywood

Hello everyone,Well where do I begin,I currently own a 2003 Lincoln Navigator
and am having real problems with my DTE gauge. As mentioned by other readers I experiancing terrible problems relating to the amount of fuel left in the tank.My gauge goes from400 miles at fillup and after driving 20-30 miles or so it goes haywire,it now reads 330 or so miles to empty. It's completely crazy. It has been in the shop and they SAID they replaced the fuel sender, but did not drop the tank to do so(FunnyI was told the only way to replace that sender was the tank HAD to be dropped. Also when the DTE gauge drops so does my fuel level at the gauge.WHAT'S WRONG(HELP)!!!!
Any help would be so appreciated. Thanx,Hollywood.
