Voice Recognition glitch w/ XM 3-digit channels

I have a 2005 STS V-8. It's absolutely fabulous.
Question: When I use the "VR" (on steering wheel) it doesn't understand XM 101+ numbers. Ex.: I say, "radio select '71' XM". It repeats my request and completes it. Problem is that I can't get it to understand channels above 100. (It falsely 'repeats' stations , such as "1168 AM", etc.

Any ideas?
