3rd Annual LvC

BoscobelBeach Party
July 18th - 20th, 2008

Our goal 100 LvC members:
(so if you came to the last Beach Party, bring someone with you to this Beach Party. If you didn't come to the last Beach Party and are coming to the this Beach Party bring someone)

Tentative Schedule of Events

Friday July 18th - 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Meet Drink and Be Merry Mespock's Front Porch
(as we wait and watch members arrive)

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
BBQ at the Mespock's
(Suicide Burger Pepp's I don't think you should this year.)

9:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Tentative - Wisconsin Ave. Poker Walk
(a poker run done by walking main street Boscobel.
A little safer than a bunch of tanked up gear heads driving cars)

Cost $5.00 per person best poker hand wins 50% of prize.

Rules - Participants must visit each of the 5 local bars on Wisconsin Ave. (Main Street of Boscobel). Each participant must order one drink then ask the bartender for a card. After the drink if complete participants may walk to the next bar. (Bars are in a 4-block area so everyone should be able to handle the exercise.) Once everyone has been to each bar and has their poker hand they are to head back to the Home of Mespock to see who has the best hand. (Chicken no cheating or and look out for the "Man")
Each LvC Member or Partcipant is responsible for their own actions and bail.
Heather is no longer the psych ward Social Worker. She's now the Med/Surg. Social Worker so she'll only see you if you get hurt and are admitted to the hospital for injuries not if you get hauled in for over intoxication.

11:00 - Close
Fire, Friends, Spirits, and Car Movies in the Back Yard

Saturday July 19th - 9:00 Am
Breakfast at the Unique Café

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Back Yard Gathering late night grill out at Mespock's
(by: Torquemonkey Chief Extraordinary)

Sunday July 20th

9:00 AM -
Breakfast at the Unique Café and Good-Bye

All it takes is one Wedding and the motels in Boscobel will fill So make your reservations early to guarantee your room.

I'll be blocking rooms at the River Inn (608-375-8000) for LvC, other Boscobel motel is the Sands Motel 608-375-4167
So book your rooms early. (and remember Boscobel is a city of only 3,000 people so we don't have many motels. Next closest is about 10 miles away at the Fennimore Hills 608-822-3281)

Once again my back yard is free for those wanting to save some money and camp out.
Those wanting to arrive earlier are welcome, same with those wanting to stay longer (as long as it's not permanent LOL).

What do you mean pictures... you get your ass to the meet... or I'm coming to put some hurt on you...

Posted by: Speed Demon

The last car show I took the kids too, the 2 funnest events were the muffler sound-off competition and the slow drags. If you never saw a slow drag event here is what your missing;huge line of cars all revvin' their engines and at the drop of a hat/flag they take off in drive(no throttle) the one that idles the slowest to the finish line wins. Maybe being drunk helps, but a whole crowd of people cheering for cars to go slower was friggin hilarious. Just an idea.

No offense Rich, but I believe that would have sounded more threatening coming from someone like Ray or Joey.

I wish I could make it, this would be my first meet. I'll see how things work out.

4 hours... oh that's right traffic... the first 5 miles take you 1 hour...

I make the trip in a little over 3 hours to Lombard.

Posted by: 93' Blue on blue

This trip is gonna cost me considerably more than my car is worth! Lol. Oh well, all in a good cause!

Posted by: MsM8tress

This year is gonna be a blast!

Posted by: unity

Your coming Blue?

So who has the travel record this year? I am just glad I can make it for once!

Posted by: 93' Blue on blue

Yup, im coming! Im going from here, to NJ then onto WI, then back down to here. 4700 miles. (might be buying a house on our way up in NC too!)

See you there unity!

Posted by: kustomizingkid

So I just took off work and am officially coming to the party!

The only little problem is that I might not have a Mark....

I'll be looking, but I just haven't found the right one yet.

Posted by: brentalan

Kustomizing Kid,

Don't worry, last year I rented a Cadillac. It's just as much about the people as it is about the cars. We're just happy you can make it!

Posted by: unity

But if you have a Caddy, back of the exhaust line for the cruise lol

Good to hear you are going to make the trip this year. Good to have new faces at the meet, you along with unity, and Martin.

There will be a few others from my motorcycle forum who learned about our party and asked if they could come. The more the merrier.

Posted by: MsM8tress

Maybe I can get one of those bikers to take me for a ride! I would soooo love to have a bike...just can't find one with air ride....go figure - lol!

Not dead Rich....just super busy. Looing so forward to the drive, kciking back and enjoying the company! Cant wait to see all my old Hotties and meeting new ones!!!

You know my 97 is for sale.

Posted by: GMAN

Hey Rich, how many on the guest list? Who has the longest drive?

Posted by: mespock

There is nice list. Looks like Blue on Blue will be making the furthest journey.

How about a TX connection...

Posted by: 93' Blue on blue

Possibly. We are coming direct now though, rather than going up to NJ and then across - worked out that it would just be cheaper and easier to just fly there some other time.

We are leaving on thursday 17th - just gonna drive straight up, only stops being for fuel.

Oh... what 'supplies' should i bring? Beer? Anything other suggestions?

Reference those templates: I never forgot, just haven't had the time recently - car has been troublesome and i lost some of the originals - only way i can replicate is to pull apart my housings and start over - i will do it, but after the meet - i can't risk taking them apart now and end up running out of time!

Posted by: Jeffintampa

just curious

Posted by: pepperman

The meet is in Boscobel, Wisconsin

Posted by: mespock

Martin just map out where all your LvC friends are located and get there numbers just in case....

Hey if you want you could fly in to Madison, WI and I could swing over and pick you up.

But driving is so much more fun..

Oh Hell they started tearing up the street.. but they are starting about 4 blocks down so my block will be ok...

what you are going to need to do to get to my house is if you are coming from the south go one block north of the Dairy Queen this will be Oaks St. drive Oaks Street until it curves on to Park St. then turn left and head up Bluff St. to my house.

If coming from the north turn left one block sort of the Dairy Queen.

Wife Lied... had called me on the way to work. What she saw was the dropping off of some of the sewer pipes that area going in. Street is still open with no construction yet.
