I need some seats.

Short of taking the front seats and consol out of my diamond jubilee(which I would never do) can any one put me in touch with someone who may be selling the front buckets and consol from a 78 diamond jubilee or 79 collector's series mk v?
I want to put them in my 59 convertible.
I have taken all kinds of measurements and they will fit.
The one thing I will have to do is some custom wiring so the seat switches can be on the door panel like the rest of the power switches.
I am not fussy as to their condition as long as the frames are solid.
I will have them re-done in white leather.
As always, your imput is appreciated.

Have you resourced the Old Car Trader or Hemming's Motor News? They're usually the best resources when restoring/etc..They work for me. Especially Hemming's.
Good luck!

Yeah, I have tried all the usuals and no luck yet.
It's not like I need them tomorrow morning or anything.
I am making plans for installing them in the spring so I started my search early.

Well anyways, If by chance, I come by anything here in GA. I'll let you know.
I go to the pick-n-pulls looking for parts for my Cutlass, you never know what one can find in those places. I'll keep an eye out anyways.

1. An old friend once said to me, "It's your banana; peel it the way you
want to."

2. Bob, are you bored with your nice '59 Linc convert? I mean, why
change the seats? Are the originals no longer comfortable?

3. Personally, I'd be afraid of something bad happening, like accidentally
tearing the leather on the seats already in the car, in the process of
removing them. This is easier on a convert, though, I concede; as the
roof can be taken out of the way. Seats are heavy, by the way.

4. I dunno; refer back to number one above.

Sure hope Bob is still active after 3 years or remembers this thread.

Yeah, I am still alive and kickin.
I still have not got those Diamond Jubilee seats I am looking for.
The stock seats are just about toast plus, I really do want the buckets with a consol.
I have not been on this site for a long time.
Guess it's because most of the topics are about newer cars than mine.
Any way, right now I have the convertible up on ramps and the engine and trans removed.
I decided to replace all the seals and gaskets in both so that I won't have any problems with leaks in the future.
While they are both out, I am doing over the engine bay, suspension, and complete undercarraige.
Hope to have that much finished by spring.
Bob.
