My girl has a 2005 Aviator and got every option except Navi, and now we want to put it in. I am very accustom to installing aftermarket double din nav units but want to consider the OEM first. Is the aviator plug and play or a wiring nightmare for the oem system?
Also where can I find it and how much will it cost me?
Thanks for your help

I can speak to another Lincoln with the exact same navigation (Lincoln LS), and say that it's not worth the trouble. The wiring harness is different and therefore not a plug and play job. You would have to take out the interioir and re-wire most of the car. If they had left the same wiring harness maybe it would be more plug-and-play. Maybe the Ave shares the same wiring harness given that it is a very very different class of car where weight is not so much an issue.
