my dad during the summer left my passenger window open and turned on the sprinkler for 5 min. he soaked the seat. it was working when i tested it out after he f***ed it up but a day later it didn't work anymore and since then it hasn't been working...at all. is there any OEM replacement for the seats? if its possible i'd love to buy a new one from ford and mabye buy the 2 front seats and give the car that "new car" interior. i looked at www.newfordparts.com but they don't have the entire seat assembly. any help would be appreciated. thanks

There is a circut breaker under the seat on one of the motors. Have you checked and reset that? If you are concerned about the leather, I have a CE with a 1/2" round hole in the middle of the drivers seat. I shopped thru car-part.com and found a back seat cushion and back for $50 and now have the material to repair the front seat. The trim shop said $65 labor.

no, the leather is fine, thank you, but i will check that circut breaker switch. also, when i take the seat apart, should i blow dry the motors just to make sure all the moisture is out of the components?

As I remember, they are pretty well sealed, and you might not be able to blow them out. Its been a couple years since I have had a seat out.
