Hid kit... what you think is better?!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: vicls

Hey what you guys thinnk 6000k or 8000k. I think 6000k less ricey.. diamond white... isn't that what most luxury cars use like bmw, benz etc. But yeah let me know 6000 vs 8000 so i can go grab one. Would you hid the fogs too?

OEM color temp is in the 4,100k to 4,300k range. That's what I would recommend, it has the highest lumen output which equals the most light on the road.

mine are 6000k and i just love them... i would go 6000k

Ask riken if he will hook you up with both 6000 and 8000k's. I got complete kit with 6000k's and 8000k's for 199.00. Lifetime warranty on bulbs and ballasts.

Here's a pic of 8000k's vs silverstars. They look blue in the housings but give off a true white light in front of the car.

here's 2 at night on the snow for you.

I have 6000k and I like them ALOT. I 6000k is a good compromise.

I have 6k in lows and 3k in fogs

Posted by: PatrickSimmons

I have 6K too and they are a night and day difference. I'm doing fogs next and I would recommend doing them.

6k is the best.

Best of both worlds. You get pretty nice brightness with a touch of blue.

6000K looks like this on lows/fogs:

That was before i added the mclaren and painted the eyebrows. And since we're all picture whores here, this is after the mods... :

very nice 6k looks good anyone on here selling a kit they can sell me..... Thanks!

Posted by: dudez_link

i have the 8000K from LSKoncepts.com and love them. not as blue as most people think (i actually want a little more blue). havent had any cop trouble yet either.

Check this site out: www.cqlight.ca

I bought 6000K for low beams and foglights. No complaints. Definately go 6000K over 8000K.

If you want pictures let me know.

Posted by: SlickLS

I have 12000k's in both the headlights and foglights and now there is no need to ever use my high beams. 12k's put off the perfect color blend in my opinion but different strokes for different folks

Posted by: thethirdeye88

i just got some sylvania silverstars all up front and they are brighter than other peoples ls's around here...

Posted by: gt95coupe

I have the LSK digital kit and have had no problems. If I were going to do it over I wouldnt change a thing. Also I paid well over $400 for my kit and now the prices have dropped a bunch so I need to do the fogs in my g/f toyota avy
