The heat and air control no matter what i have it set on as far as floor panel and vent it only comes out of the defroster or the vent closest to the windsheild. What ever you call it. Does anyone have any ideas id really appriciate it.

Look for a leaking vacuum hose on the top of the engine. That would do it...
There are a few threads on that subject, so if you search it, you'll even find some pictures of the suspect plastic line.

A visual inspection, and a spray can of carb cleaner. As soon as you get some of the cleaner sucked up by the leak, the rpm will increase which should help you find it.

I checked for this today on my car because I am having a similar problem. Looks like someone put a cap on the T fitting on the intake. Where does the vacuum hose that breaks go to? I can't seem to find it.

The fitting was right above the middle of the intake plenum and ran across the top of the fire wall to the passenger side corner of the firewall. ill try to get a pic or to for you.

Yea I just looked again. There is no broken hose, but I see the fitting it attached to. I need to know where to hook the other end to if I get a replacement hose. I have the part on top of the plenum... where's the other side hook to?

Anyone have some input on this? Sorry to seem inpatient but it isn't getting any warmer.

Right underneath the light almost in the corner of the passenger side fire wall

Posted by: slickemhoundd

Thats the line that runs over the intake plenum

Thank you so much.
