Power Seat Not Moving

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: GMAN

My passenger side seat will not travel forward. It seems like it is stuck. When someone gets in on the passenger, and I move the seat back up, it will start to travel forward. However sometimes it does not travel back, and the controls will not move it back. After jacking with it for a while, it will eventually travel back. Has anyone figured out how to fix this problem?

Check the electrical connectors under the seat if it happened all of the sudden.

The connectors are plugged in. It's almost as if the seat has a mind of it's own. I movesforward and backward some of the time. When it doesen't move, I can hear it trying to move.

Hope it's not the switch. Those things are a pain in the arse to put back together. Took one apart on an older mar VIII I had.

I rebuilt the motors in one of my passenger seats. It wasn't too bad. I took photos and explained what I did.
