any opinions on the LS. they are pretty cheap now and i can imagine my wife in that instead of her ten year old, one driver sunfire.what stopping me is the sunfire has 150km or 105miles on it and it is reliable but ty. i heard of electrical problems but the problems these cars can have it should be a walk in the park
thanks

Might wanna search in the LS forum for the words "opinions" and/or "problems". Plenty of threads to read through.

^^ True, there are pleanty of complaints about our cars. But rarely do people post on a forum to say everything is fine with their cars (it has happened a couple times on the LS side of the world). I for one love my LS. I do wish I would have gotten the v8 sometimes but that's another story.

Everything is fine with my car...

Well these forums are also for fixing problems and many people come here first to find solutions... Then they come back for the fun...

On the issue of the sunfire... and my opinion on cars over 125,000 miles.. They got that far for a reason...

But parts on 125,000 + mile cars will start to wear out and you will get some nickel and dime you.. but once those are fixed the car is set for another long stretch... My opinion

Not unless you go the custom route.

Had one for 4 years, loved it for what it was. Great driving, handling, comfort, style, and safety features.

Total pain in the butt to work on, everything is backasswards engineered, parts are rediculously expensive, mostly only available at Ford.

Did over $2500 worth of parts in one fiscal year. Ball joints wore out, a tie rod, wheel bearings, valve cover gaskets, power steering lines, and a bunch of other crap I can't and don't want to remember.

Loved the car, and can recomend them as a great driver - but be prepared to fix alot of things on them.

Where aboots are you in Canada?

There are plenty of other cars I would consider before an LS.

Usually people list examples after a statement like yours.....
