I want to get an oil change done and bring my own oil (so I can be sure that good quality is used) - how many quarts will I need to to a complete change?

I have a 99 Eldorado with the 4.6 l V8 Northstar.

That engine is 7.5 quarts. When you put 6 in start checking the dipstick. Make sure you park on flat, level ground.
