looking to buy an 04 aviator is there anything to be aware of when looking at it?
Is high octane required for this year, and if so does the timing retard ?
how is the mileage ?
thanks

Shoulden't have any serious problems. However many small nagging issues I've had. I average about 15 mpg. That's with a good portion of highway driving. So basically poor mikeage but it's damn fast. On the street it's a rocket for an SUV. On the highway even with all it's power the wind drag and heft slowes it down to just good passing. I only fill up with 93. It says 91 on the gas cap. I bet you can get away with 89 just listen for pinging. Sometimes gas varies so much from location to location that it depends on the gas station. Gets a lot of looks and attention no doubt.

Well I picked up an 04 Aviator, it only has 8k on it. So it's basically new, dvd has never been used and the headphones were still in plastic wrap.

Congrats! you and I know this is a nice vehicle. Styling inside and out is superb. Any small issues are just a part of the otherwise great package.
