95 Sts - Service Engine Light

Hi all,

I bought a '95 Cadillac STS a few months ago. Shortly after i bought it, I have had a recurring problem. The "Service Engine Light" cames on once and awhile and then my car will die as soon as I come to a stop. It starts back up, but every time I come to a stop it dies again. If I leave it alone for a few hours the problem goes away and I may not see it for weeks later. Recently I started my car and beofore I could get off my street the "Service Engine Light" came on and i was almost unable to start it again so I got it back to my driveway and had it towed to my mechanic. He is currently diagnosing the problem.

Has anyone had this problem before and have any advice??
