I'll be blocking rooms at the River Inn (608-375-8000) for LvC, other Boscobel motel is the Sands Motel 608-375-4167
So book your rooms early. (and remember Boscobel is a city of only 3,000 people so we don't have many motels. Next closest is about 10 miles away at the Fennimore Hills 608-822-3281)
Once again my back yard is free for those wanting to save some money and camp out.
Those wanting to arrive earlier are welcome, same with those wanting to stay longer (as long as it's not permanent LOL).

Ok i will be checking back soon.

Soon it's time to start discussion on the 08 Beach Party...
Posted by: brentalan
Only 6 months away!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: mespock
That's correct... 6 months.. Do you have your room booked yet?
I was thinking about a walking poker run on Friday night...
5 bars in 3 blocks.... We haven't spent much time down town yet...
I'm linking about the Hog Roast on Saturday Night.... I'll be posting activities soon.
Oh and don't worry Cruise is going to be a great one this year...
Posted by: papa bear
Will the hog have a apple in its mouth and can we watch it turning over the fire and if you can see if the butcher can brand it with a lincoln symbol or i will just bring a lincoln emblem and we can burn it on that pig.
Posted by: mespock
Well we'll be on the cruise for a good portion of the hog roasting time...
I have a few lincoln emblems left from that 94 I parted out..
I need to check the cost on the roast... Ummm what should we roast for those Kosher members...
I thought that if I list a Hog Roast then maybe the Iowa members would come.
Posted by: mespock
I posted Friday Night's events... should be fun..
Working on Saturday...
Going to see if the Kikers want to have a DJ in their back yard. I could do it in my back yard but just want to see what the neighbors feel first.
Could also see if the Boscobel Hotel would let me put a DJ in their court yard. Working on Details yet.
If I continue with the Hog Roast I hope that a $15 a person charge wouldn't be too much to ask...
This would be too much for me to spring for a hog roast.
I'm trying to put more of the great twisties that are in the area and add some of the best vistas..
Test Conti's Driving Skills...
Posted by: chickenviii
holly hell 119 miles 2 hours 56 minutes, thats a cruise!!!!! we also need to make sure that conti to gets gas. looks good
Posted by: mespock
What's wrong with 119 Miles... Last year was 100 Miles... Year before also 100 miles or close to it.
Posted by: Dmaup
I personaly am not opposed to 119 mile cruise as long as at least 60 miles of it is "Spirited" driving.
Posted by: chickenviii
if i know rich's cruises there will be a "few" spirited driving sections
Posted by: mespock
What's wrong with some real challenges.. Like a bunch of switch backs...
Conti will $hit his pants..
Let's see how well you can handle the curves...

119 miles hell i do 125 miles every day at work, 119 miles is nothing.
Posted by: isaiah3g
aw crap...i'd have to drive 20 hours to get there...well maybe yall will come further down south one day..lol
Posted by: pepperman
isaiah3g, I am driving looking at 789 miles just to get to Boscobel and i am driving 125 miles at work the day i leave for the meet, thats 915 miles in less thank 24 hours it's not a difficult thing to do and i did that last year also.
Posted by: isaiah3g
true...its not a hard thing to do. Just time consuming, but im sure its worth it. I'll probually hit one up around here if its about 4 hours away,i know im being picky with my time...but owell. to each their own. i'll see if i can make it up there, the more i think about it the more i would enjoy the time there at the meet

Yes it is time consuming but the fun times being at the meet makes it all worth it to me. If you decide on going to the meet you will enjoy it mespock has alot of things planned for it this year that we didn't do last year.

I might have to do my trans before the beach party, that is a cruise,Mespock will one pig be enough you think and i think that price is good on the pig roast
Posted by: mespock
Right now the Pig Roast is tentative. One pig should do depending upon how many come. I'm hoping that I can cover it with $15 per person.
As for Isaiah ... it's up to you.. people come from all over. Find someone in your area or coming through your area to hitch up with. It will be fun once again..
They have a nice courtyard were we could have a fire, and do the BBQ. Depending upon how many people attend this year, the dinner will either be their BBQ ribs or the hog roast, depending upon which one I can get for $15/person.
My son is currenly the chef at the Hotel and his food prep. is amazing.
What I am thinking is that after the Cruise we can park on Main Street and then party at the Hotel...
Posted by: pepperman
Either way is good for me the $15 a person i can handle that.
Posted by: PatrickSimmons
I like that idea. I am down for $15 or more if needed.
Posted by: mespock
Plans for the Hog Roast are possibly changing.
Hog Roast might become Prime Rib.. We are going to have the dinner after the cruise at the Boscobel Hotel. My son Joe will be our chef (Joey the kid can cook LOL).
I have discussed with the Hotel on booking a Blues Band for the night details still in the making (waiting for a reply).
I'll keep everyone posted on the detail...

The Blues Band that I have been hunting down for Saturday night looks like a go. The leader of the ban was excited to come back to Boscobel to play. 5 member band and very very good.
We are still discussing where it will be a complete hog roast or ribs for Saturday night. The owners of the Hotel and Joe are working on what the want to do for the dinner yet. They feel the big Hog Roaster going while the Blues are Playing in the courtyard would be fun.
For those who do not like pork there is a menu you can order from.
Also!!!
How Could I not have it!
I am going to have my son make a special
Suicide Pizza for Friday Night
There will be added to his original Pizza Sauce
Some Mad Dog 357!
357 MAD DOG Hot SauceTM This killer sauce is packing 357,000 scoville units of heat. One hit will blow you away! We blend Chile extract, fresh Habanero peppers, 160,000 scoville super Cayenne peppers, garlic and onion to makes a sauce that can truly take your breath away. Mad Dog 357 is the hottest hot sauce ever made......any hotter and it can't be called a sauce!
Pepperman Take it Easy this year..
