Brake.. Master Cylinder

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I post a thread about tryin to get the Driverside valve cover out... I'm thinking I might have to pop the Master Cylinder off... I removed the bolts but it's stuck on there.... are there only two bolts?... I know there's a pretty good suction on these things I just don't want to pry on it more and find out I'm messing something up... any info would be awesome!! thanks!

On my '93 there was one nut on one side but 2 on the other. One in front and one behind a metal bracket for some wires. Be sure to remove ALL nuts that may be in front of the cylinder. Next, carefully pry the cylinder away from the booster so as not to damage the rubber seal.

Oh yeah sorry it's for a 97 mark are they the same?!?!

Not sure. Just take a look its quite obvious. On the side of the cylinder closest to the engine is where there may be a nut, a black bracket that holds a wiring loom and then another nut. On mine i found the bracket to be a nuisance and pretty pointless so i didnt bother putting it back on. Take a look, you will see what im on about if you have it.

yup gen 2's have the same set up as 93 says, just ran out and looked at mine, 1 nut on the outside, and 2 on the inside, then it should just slide out of the booster
