ive had my 96 sts for a few months now, and now its time to change the oil for the first time since ive owned it. i need to replace the switch that triggers the "check engine oil level". where is it located and can i get one at any auto part place or is it a dealer item? cost? also any oil recomendations and filter recomendations? also how do i reset the "change engine oil" light? im fairly new to caddys and want to give it what it needs. thanks in advance.

My Mom-In- Laws 03 Caddy - the sensor was in the side of the oil pan. took an o2 sensor socket to get it off. Part was like $48 at local autoparts store - drain the oil first!

Stick with OEM or Mobile One filter, just my preference. I am not sure what type you take, but synthetic is the best - Mobile one, Royal Purple, AMS OIL are all very good synthetic oils.
