Headlight Q: MkX!!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

My wife leases a Zephyr right now, but we will be getting a MKX soon. They have projector beam swivel headlights, but are not HID. Is there a bulb that can go into their headlamp assembly to give me that look? Do you think the MKZ/Zephyr HID bulb would be a direct match? They are both projector beam headlamps. Someone with some tech knowledge please clue me in...

You have a few options on replacing the bulbs. First you can get a Xenon-look type of halogen bulb like the Hoen or NOKYA bulbs. The MKX takes an H11 bulb in the low beams so any bulb will do. You can check out both here:

Now, if you want the HID for the MKX you have some options on an HID Conversion Kit. These kits are plug and play and require you to mount a small ballast inside the engine compartment. This not a huge project. Also, the bulbs are very easy to install. You can view the HID Conversion Kits here:

Thanks Ken. I bought the Hoen bulbs off of you for my LSE a couple of months back and I did not know they would work in a projector beam headlight application... I will probably pick some more up from you once we actually get the MKX. Thanks again.
