ok a while back i pulled the front seats out to clean the carpet and could not believe how heavy the seats were i know its a lincoln but when you want to go to the track i think i would find a light weight drivers seat for the day it felt like dragging two dead bodies out of there or maybe i should hit the gym i wonder if any one has just gutted there mark viii's for the day and went to the track or do this stuff for weekend racing i would say street racing but thats illegal and i would never practice such a thing

Other than the front seats I don't think it would make much of a difference, unless you took off EVERYTHING. The back seat is really light, and so are the panels on the rear sides. THe door panels aren't really heavy either. Seems like it would be a lot of work for nothing.
