Has anyone ever tried to put cam's into an LS?

get a set of stock cam shafts and have them reground? are there tools out there to complete such a task after getting the cams back into the motor? i know tuning is quite limited on our cars still. is there any reason why we couldnt do this?

Stall convertor a problem? id never think to put anything too serious into the car but im sure a stall convertor would help idle on our v8's.

Personally i get a hard on thinking of a LS with a Lope lOpe loPe lopE

i guess i shouldve been more specific in my thread.

question 1 - is the technology out there for our lincolns to be able to tune a cammed engine? i know the SCT tuner has alot of capabilities but is it enough.

question 2 - Are aftermarket torque convertors available if needed?

Any quality custom cam grinder could do it, but, with variable cam timing, it would be quite a project to determine the optimum profile. Way more money than I could ever afford.

I took a 3800 pound Lincoln into the 12s. Believe me, I know it all too well!
