Acceleration Noise

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hey all,

When I'm accelerating from around 30-50 mph there is a muffled rattling or fanning sound in the engine bay.

After 50mph it goes away and doesn't happen when you are at low speeds either.

Any ideas?

I've recently changed the fuel and air filters, and oil. Had to do my fuel filter myself after jiffy lube "couldnt find it". they also broke off a piece of my headlight chrome when replacing a bulb. hehe.

also theres a vibration in the engine bay while this is happening.

when was the last time you did plugs ,wires.throwing any codes sounds like a miss or the air flow is disrupted whats the idle like, does it sound good giving it gas in park need more info

it sounds fine in idle and when you gas in park.

it only happens while accelerating

the plugs haven't been changed since i got the car 6 months ago.

mine does this everynow and then too, kinda like air being uhh fluttering around, for lack of a better word, i always thought it was the imrcs kinda hesitating to open up, kinda flapping open and closed slightly causing disruptions in the air flow, because of the certain pressure i put on the gas pedal

so maybe i should give it the seafoam treatment or something tommorrow and check out the plugs.

if that doesnt work ill have to pay some $$$ and go to the shop.

im about to take a trip so i want to get this taken care of.

do plugs wires and fuel filter just for piece of mind if not already done all of this is about 100-150 if you do
