97 cont air compressor working?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hi, my car is sitting on the frame now. I did not hear any leaks or anything and I can't tell if the compressor is working or not. I don't think it is working, I don't feel any vibration from it or any thing. I just replace it in july because the old one was making noise.

Is there a way to test the compressor to see if it is working?

The system says it is ok as it sits on the frame. lol

Is there a way to jump start it?

ck, I jumped started the compressor right from the battery. It runs strong but it does not raise the rear end up at all. I hear no leaks or any thing.

Help

Ok, If I run a positive wire from the battery right to the compressor plug in and push the plugs together the compressor runs and the rear end goes up.

So does that mean the compressor relay is not working?

I got the car up and I turned the suspension off in the trunk so I can drive the car.

your compressor relay is burned out, this is caused by leaks in the bags.if you just replace the relay with out fixing the bags it will burn out again.the 97's had rear air springs only,200,00 from arnotte.very easy to replace.a very very few 97's had full air ride, but it had to be special ordered.
