ok my baby just reached 121,ooo miles. The check engine light came on and a week later now it is running kinda rough at idle.If I give it just a little gas then it runs normal. Is this something basic like plugs?I know this is very general but if anyone can help me then you guys can.

I'd love to help based on your description, but my crystal ball ran out of magic pixie dust.

Plugs, O2 sensors, Seafoam treatment and/or IAC clean up and an oil change. It is a good idea to plug wells to see if your spark plug boots are still in good shape.

Since your CE light is on, the computer has stored codes on the problem. Go to your local Auto Zone and have the codes read. Post them here and someone will tell you exactly what's wrong and exactly how to get it corrected.

sounds like the IAC, but go and have the codes read first

Posted by: BigWaveDave

ok tommorrow i go to autozone and get the code....What the heck is an IAC and where is it located?

you forgot to put the fire wall 1mm from the IAC

Posted by: BigWaveDave

ok I got the codes read this morning. code one says-p0171-bank one too lean. This is apparently a code stored in history.Code 2 says -p0174-bank two too lean. This is obviously some sort of fuel problem, but I am clueless

replace 02 sensors ngk ntk has them cheap or summit like 36-42 dollars they also have the 02 tool 10 dollars to make this job easy and watch your gas millage zoom up

Posted by: BigWaveDave

Posted by: papa bear
