79 Mark V does not start when warm!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!

I think it's the starter but I know someone is more knowledgeable than i am here !! Just bought it today and want to fix this problem tomorrow so I can drive it to work on monday. PLEASE HELP! ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT!!

So... Yesterday I drove it around and stopped for gas, and when I was done pumping, the car wouldn't start. It made a clicking sound and wouldn't turn over. I came back about an hour and a half later and it started right up. ??????? what the hell?!?!?! Please help!!!

battery, starter ,timing ,alternater, dirty connections at terminals,solinoid on the inner fender volt gauge would help .best guess replace alternater clean all contacts these parts are cheap and require very little work to do
