Just bought a 1998 MK VIII LSC and it is great. A couple of things are bothering me. First the neon light on deck does not work. I have looked on internet and could not find anything. Where can I get information about the light. Second, my air suspension appears to need help. The air compressor seems to run a long time when I start up the engine and does run a little while driving. The air compress runs about 8 to 10 seconds after starting the engine. Is this normal. Anyway look forward to visiting the site in the future.

For info on the rear light e-mail "glitchm@hotmail.com". As for the air ride, when you get ut of the car after shutting it off, the car lowers to "park height". That is the same as "highway height" so when you restart it, it needs to pump up to normal driving height for around town. If it only runs for 10 secs or so, it sounds normal. And, every time you drive at apporox 50 mph, the car will lower and when you slow down to 35 or so it will pump back up. You do need to worry when you come out in the morning and one or both ends are quite low to the ground. Oh, and welcome to the site.
Also, go to "MarkVIII.org", to their home page, to technical info, and rear neon light, to find the whole skinny on the neon.
