The way you wear your pants now gets you arrested.....

So let's all guess.

Conservatives doing this or is it the freedom loving liberals?

LOL -- I dunno, but th ACLU is on it...

"In Atlanta, we see this as racial profiling," said Benetta Standly, statewide organizer for the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia. "It's going to target African-American male youths. There's a fear with people associating the way you dress with crimes being committed."

I had been told a few times that they sag because there's a piece in their pants. And if that is true I think it's a good thing to at least stop and frisk them. I know that in my town there have been some shootouts lately. One even made front page headlines.

Kinda sad and stupid that someone would try to make that claim. Around here, you're almost as likely to see sagging pants on whites as you are any other race.

Someone quoted in that article did make an interesting point though:
Quote:
"Are they going to go after construction workers and plumbers, because their pants sag, too?"
While the (generally unintentional) exposure resulting from a case of "plumber's crack" is obviously very different from the (mostly intentional) exposure given by "gangsta pants", I don't think there's really a way that that difference can be legally defined without raising a lot of red flags.

I'm wondering exactly how the currently existing laws and ordinances regarding this are written. Anyone got a copy?

Technically, Government or court intervention used to curb or control behavior is considered liberalism.
