Yes Loud00 please elaborate on your engine a bit more....

I'd love to know what that little silver box just above your K&N sticker is for. Looks foreign to me.

That and please take some more shots of that intake... is it piped from outside the engine compartment? I'd love to see that cause I've been meaning to get mine done for a while now.

Perma-Cool Nice, I love penguins.

Thanks,

Isn't wierd how much of a difference they make to the look of the car? I wish I had done them sooner. I am done with the exterior for now. Now for the interior and trunk.

Posted by: Rodewaryer

First, out of the box stock.

A couple mods later.

Posted by: rickztahone

Rodewaryer i love the brake set-up. it always makes me go "wow". the wheels are beautiful and i'm sure the pirelli's give it the extra performance. great looking car. the exhaust is great as well. i wish i had these upgrades

Yea, for sure, brakes are wild.

Douche bags who don't pay their lien is how your car gets seized or repoed, that should clarify things fo you.

Posted by: pektel

Seized = taken away by the police

Repo'd = Taken back by the bank for nonpayment

Thank you for your valiant attempt at an insult. Know your definitions before you try being a smartass.

Controlled substance possession but the quantity involved was far far below the quantity required by MN law for them to have the right to seizure.

Posted by: Garbone

Maybe you didnt bring enough for all of the law enforcement, and thats why they took the whole car...?.....

Look, the police can seize your vehicle if the repo team wishes they need help, i work for the government and specialize in stuff like this. So before you spout off to me I may just seize your LS, how about that?

Posted by: pektel

Which agency do you work for? I'd love to forward your threats to your superiors...

Considering I don't have superiors, good luck.

Homeland Security (Bio-Terrorism) to be exact and with the Patriot Act you know I can pretty much do as I please.

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't mess with a fellow LS owner anyway, I am just rattling your cage a bit.

However, your car can be seized by the police if you have defaulted on your lien and the repo men need police help. Its like a Bounty Hunter needing police support, it works the same way.

Posted by: decibels5

Dont ruin the post. I like seeing these nice cars. Dont make this thread go to the dump. If you wish, start another thread. Good luck on getting your car back. And for the other guy, let it go.

Todd,

Your LS is awesome!

I can't wait to mount my LSE Grille.

Posted by: rickztahone

quick question, which lse LS's have the taller looking lower grill opening? i see that todds looks a lot bigger than the gen 1 ones. years?

Posted by: King03LS8

I've got to get those front bumper plugs, that sets it off for me.

Is that the stock exhaust tips?

Your car is flawless....I looked a long time for a white one but just could not pass up the deal on my Steel Blue Metallic.

Your car would look real good with the LSE tail lights.....not so much on mine.

Posted by: King03LS8

Here is my 2003 LS8. The color is Medium Steel Blue Metallic. Taken almost a year ago now.

Posted by: owlman

Is that a backup camera in your bumper?

Not a camera but sensors. Rear Park Assist, it was optional equipment in 2003.

Posted by: jgfish97

King03LS8,

Those pictures look like you're in front of Barton Creek Mall. Noah (owlman) and I met up there to take some pictures of our almost twin LS's.

I've seen a couple of LS's on 20s around town. But I'm not sure if they know of LvC.

Great looking pictures guys! They all look really good.

I think all the LSE style front bumpers had this size opening. There may be some minor differences in the style of the foglight openings, though. Ken Garrison may know more about this.

I assume you're talking about my car. Thanks! Yes, the car is flawless!

As I've posted before, the bumper plugs are nothing more that 10 cent panel fastners painted with touchup paint and clearcoat. Some pix are below. The fasteners are sold at most hardware stores.

I replaced the stock exhaust tips with Magnaflow model #35121. They are four-inch double walled tubes with a slight angle. They fill out the stock exhaust cutout in the rear valence much better than the stock tips. I got them at a local speed shop, and had them installed by a custom muffler shop.

The Nav unit was a factory option in '03.

Yes jgfish, the pictures were taken at Barton Creek Mall....good eye.

We should meet up sometime and cruise Capital of Texas or somthing. I rarely see LS' here in Austin, at least where I travel.

Thanks for the comments.

The opening on the newer lse is bigger than the older ones i know because i bought the matching lower grill for the lse bumper and it was much smaller, than i figuered it was because the grill was for a 00-02 lse bumper.

Posted by: rickztahone

thanks big body, i like the larger opening like on your car better

Yes, it was. The navigaton and THX sound system combination was an option in the 2003-2006 years.

Posted by: pektel

Wow, i learn something new everyday... I thought that wasn't an option until 04. Still looks nice

Posted by: HyeLifeLS

06 bumper (04-06 LSE) I think is the best out of all stock bumpers, body kits, lips and all that good stuff.

Negative, the police will not seize someone's car to assist them. Repo men are acting on a civil matter and police do not get involved in civil matters. If the repo team is on site and being threatened by the owner, having problems, etc. then PD will respond but only to keep the peace.

I don't know how much dope you had in the car when you got popped. In GA the limits are more than 4oz of weed, 1 gram of coke, and ANY amount of meth (which would include MDMA ecstasy).

Posted by: daves2000ls

C'mon guys, this isn't the "what it takes to have your car seized/repoed / the difference between seizure and repossession" thread. Post up some more pics.

No, the fenders look ok, but the roof line is definately photo chopped.
The fenders may be done, but the roof is.
This just shows that the car would be an awesome looker with a chopped top.

Posted by: DunItRight

I just noticed the roof thing, you can even see where it wasn't aligned right in photo shop. I still like the height and tuck, if thats not chopped But I think it is, I was wondering why his rear wheel looked so much smaller.

Posted by: 02V8Sport

skirts are photochopped lower too, but the car looks damn nice!!

Posted by: wildstang607

just a joke guys, done the chop on paint in about 3 minutes. thought it would look good with a longer nose like the 325 bmw's. also raised the quarter panel, chopped the top, shortened the rear overhang and lowered the side skirts. oh, and slammed the car. here's some pics of the real one.

Posted by: Foz

well, the real one looks good too....

The changes you made on the chop were good ones though, really added a lot to the car, I thought the qtr looked raised....anyways good looking chop and decent looking LS!

Yeah its the same thing you need the panel and gen 2 lights youll also need the foglights and foglight brackets.

that photochop wildstang did makes the ls look soo nice imo.

i'd like to post some pics, how do you post imbedded pics?

you should go to the 06 wheel in chrome or NYC/King03's wheels

Posted by: Rodewaryer

bigpappy33, do the wheels man. HP is fun but looking at it happens first and there's an immense satisfaction that comes from being happy with the way the car looks.

The rest will come along with time.

Good thread (except for the 'police state' side story/conflict). Keep the pics coming, some really sweet cars out there and this is a way easier way to see what you all are driving......

If you do those lights ( I think it might be cool ) paint the reflectors on the inside.

The second picture, he did by 2 tenths (14.6 to 14.4), but he can't drive that thing. Last picture I won, but that's because he busted the seat back when launching (it's a 6 speed). There's a video of that in my sig. Later on in the day the VII went 12.1 @ 111 or something on nitrous.
