The door light is always on. Says the door is open when it isn't.

door latches, hinges and switchs, dont stop till the can is empty.Ii have had to only do it once two years ago and no problem since then

I would of thought some kind of fuse, but damn thats a easy fix thanks.

another ford downfall.

Posted by: Markviiiedrea

My new mark has this problem, and of course I sprayed wd40 on it but it wont go away, so I guess I have to replace the switch, do any of you know what it looks like, where it is, is it easy, how much is the switch? Or is there any other thing I can do to make the door ajar message go away.

the switch is a small round switch that twists into the bottom of the latch, i recommend pulling the latch (this can be a beotch) or at least remove from mounts and position so you can at least see how the switch is positioned, removing it blind is easy, but installing it blind sucks
