With the lousy economy in Michigan, most towns and cities have been struggling with shrinking revenues from state and local property taxes. All over the state, public employees have been getting laid off. There are, of course exceptions, with Bloomfield Hills north of Detroit being one of them. How many cops have you seen cruising around your neighborhood in $100,000 Cadillac XLR-Vs?

hmmmm...... So who gets to drive it...

Our school district once purchased a Loaded "leather and all" Chevy Suburban as a school vehicle to be used by staff to go to meetings.

Only use it got for the first 5 years was by the superintendent. Most of the public didn't know the school had purchased it. If any other staff needed a vehicle and that was all that was left the answer was no...
